Is walking effective?

Walking is one of the simplest forms of exercise, yet sadly, it is the most overlooked and underrated. When people want to lose weight, they look for more ‘serious’ workout programs like running, jogging, yoga and going to the gym to use the equipment. Walking is a good cardio exercise. It is one of the easiest exercises to perform. It is free. It fits perfectly into daily routine at low stress. It can be done at any time, by anyone regardless of age and stature and do not require any special gear except comfortable shoes. Maybe it is the simplicity of walking that makes it so underrated.
